1. It reduces the “float” time that it takes checks to clear your checking account here.
2. It stops the original paper check and replaces it with substitute electronic image(a legal equivalent) of the check for the clearing process.
3. If you need a copy of a check, you may receive a copy of the substitute check instead.
4. This also applies to you if you deposit a third party check to your account here and it bounces, you may get a substitute check as the copy.
5. If you feel the substitute check is inaccurate, contact us as soon as possible. We will investigate your claim and make you aware of any necessary adjustments. These adjustments could include recrediting your account.
